BiographyHistory

Simon Higgins was raised in Nigeria and South Australia. He has been a police officer with the South Australian Police Force, state prosecutor and a private investigator. He also had a stint working as a monster in a side-show ghost train. In 1994 he became a full time writer, drawing on his experiences in the law enforcement area in the writing of his thrillers and adventure novels for young adults.


He has been an invited participant and speaker at many writers' festivals throughout Australia and has conducted professional development seminars with teachers and librarians.


Higgins has travelled widely in South-East Asia and has an abiding interest in Asian cultures. He is a student of Iaido, a Japanese martial art that focusses on swordsmanship.
