BiographyHistory

The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) 'celebrates, explores and promotes the cultural and creative richness of the moving image in all its forms - film, television and digital culture.' The Centre includes exhibitions charting 'Australia's engagement with screen culture as consumer and creator.' ACMI began as the State Film Centre in 1946 and moved to a building in Federation Square, Melbourne, Victoria, in 2002.
