After travelling to the Top End for a croc research trip, the Irwins decide to squeeze in a quick holiday and visit some old friends in a tiny town on the western shores of the Gulf of Carpentaria. While on a train ride through the heart of the continent, Bindi stops at a kangaroo rescue centre and discovers the harsh methods used to kill the animals for meat, and, with the help of her friends, vows to keep the animals off the menu.
