BiographyHistory

Grace Roberts was born on an Aboriginal Reserve in Dunoon, New South Wales. Grace Roberts is a member of the Stolen Generations and was raised in Cootamundra Girls Home. During her life, Grace Roberts worked tirelessly towards improving the lives of people within the New South Wales Aboriginal community by being the driving force behind the establishment of the Wongala Housing Company. In her honour, The Grace Roberts Award recognises the efforts of an Aboriginal person who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to the better quality of life for Aboriginal people in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales.
