BiographyHistory

Gakupa is a storyteller, artist and leader from Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory. Gakupa is the father of Yolngu Mala leader and Galpu clan representative Gali Yalkarriwuy Gurruwiwi. Gakupa taught Gali traditional art forms, cultural knowledge and stories to be maintained and taught to future generations.
