BiographyHistory

Miriny-Mirinymarra Jingkiri composed songs in Ngarla, an Aboriginal language spoken in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. He spent most of his life on De Grey Station on the mouth of the De Grey River, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Working with horses and other livestock, Jingkiri was involved in droving sheep between De Grey and Port Hedland. He was Uncle to Wirrkaru Jingkirri (q.v.).' Source: Ngarla Songs (2003)
