BiographyHistory

Nicole Barunga first came to Mowanjum, near the township of Derby in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, as a young girl. Although originally from the Pilbara region of Western Australia, Mownjum is now, (2008) her home and she has been involved in organising the community festival, hunting, fishing and her children's schooling and cultural education.
