BiographyHistory

Gabriella Dolby came to live with her mother's people at Mowanjum Mission in the Kimberley region of Western Australia after her father died when she was thirteen. She went to school in the nearby township of Derby and stayed for a while at St. Joseph's Hostel. Dolby paints the Wandjina from the Wanalirri people and is one of the artists who comprise the Mowanjum Artists' Spirit of the Wandjina Aboriginal Corporation.
