BiographyHistory

Laurent Boulanger migrated to Australia from France at the age of thirteen unable to speak a word of English.

At 30 he graduated from Deakin University with a B.A. in Professional Writing, and subsequently a M.A. in Writing and a Ph.D. in Writing from Swinburne University; he has also studied forensic science at Swinburne University.

Dr Boulanger has published more than thirty articles and reviews in Australian, English and American magazines, and was Australian correspondent for the UK journal Writers News for 12 years. In 2004 he began teaching in the Master in Writing at Swinburne University. His first feature-length screenplay as writer-director was produced into a film in 2012 by Intermedia Arts. He is also a professional actor.
