BiographyHistory

Born on Tamala Station, Jack Brand was a shearer and a drover for many years before he became unable to perform his duties. His father was a white station manager and his mother was a Nanda woman from the Northampton area of Port Gregory. He began working at the age of eleven and experienced the harsh realities of station life during Australia's colonial era.
