Caroline Baum was born and educated in the United Kingdom. She moved to Australia in 1984 and established a successful career as a journalist and broadcaster. Her credits include being the founding editor of Good Reading Magazine and the presenter of the Talking Books programme on Foxtel's television arts channel, Ovation.
