BiographyHistory

'Yvette Walker grew up between North Queensland and Brisbane, with a Scottish father and mother of Aboriginal, Indonesian and Chinese decent. Her heritage is with the Waanyi people of North East Queensland. Making her professional acting debut in 1996 with Kooemba Jdarra in Jack Davis' The Dreamers, Yvette has studied at the Aboriginal Centre for Performing Arts. She has gone on to appear in several stage productions, including 23rd Productions 'Motortown' in August 2008.' Source: www.slq.qld.gov.au/ (Sighted 14/10/2008).
