BiographyHistory

Barack Obama is the son of a Kenyan father and an American mother. He graduated in law from Harvard University in 1991 and practiced as a civil rights lawyer. Obama served for eight years in the Illinois Senate before his election to the USA Senate in 2004. In 2008, Obama became the presidential nominee for the Democratic Party.
