BiographyHistory

Beverley Elphick was fostered with a family and then returned to her mother when she was five years old. However, she rejected her mother and returned to foster care. After sixty one years of age Elphick was reunited with her mother and sister through Link-Up.

Elphick's story was recorded by the National Library of Australia for the Bringing Them Home oral history project and appeared in the associated publication Many Voices: Reflections on experiences of Indigenous child separation, edited by Doreen Mellor and Anna Haebich (2002).
