BiographyHistory

Annie Mullins was born at Westmoreland Station. At the age of six, Mullins was removed from her family and taken to Doomadgee Mission dormitories under Government orders. She was sent to work on cattle stations. Mullins' children were also removed and taken to Doomadgee Mission.

Mullins' story was recorded by the National Library of Australia for the Bringing Them Home oral history project and appeared in the associated publication Many Voices: Reflections on experiences of Indigenous child separation edited by Doreen Mellor and Anna Haebich (2002).
