BiographyHistory

Frank Hutchins was a pianist, music teacher and composer. He was a founding professor at the New South Wales Conservatorium of Music, where he taught for over 50 years. In the 1920s he formed a successful partnership with pianist Lindley Evans, with whom he toured and performed for over 40 years. In 1962 he was awarded an OBE in recognition of his service to music.
