'Minmia is a senior Aboriginal woman, educator, healer. She is a custodian of traditional women's lore/law of the Wiradjuri people of New South Wales... She was born to a Koori mother and a white father...

Minmia was instructed to pass down Wiradjuri women's lore/law to any women interested. For many years she taught at women's camps and gatherings where Indigenous elders, ordained women of different faiths, Indigenous women and non-Indigenous women attended.

Minmia is also an artist and her art works are held in private collections throughout the world.' Her uncle was Kevin Gilbert
