BiographyHistory

Founded in 1979 by James Davern, a film and television producer who worked initially for the Australian Broadcasting Commission producing drama and music programs, JNP Films was an independent production company responsible for the long-running television soap A Country Practice as well as many other film and television programs.

Among the company's films, produced under the name JNP Movietel, were The Hostages (q.v.), Reprisal (q.v.), Whipping Boy, Never Tell Me Never, and Without Warning (q.v.).
