BiographyHistory

Pauline Rice is the sister of Daphne Rose Colless (q.v.). Her father was born at Daintree and her mother at Maytown but were removed from their families by police officers and sent to Yarrabah Mission. Rice stayed in school until she was eleven, when she was sent to a station to work as a cook.
