Supit graduated from the University of Sydney as a languages teacher. She taught Latin, French and Indonesian in various Sydney secondary schools, before leading a team of materials developers at the Open Training and Education Network designing and producing learning materials for distance education students of languages. Supit moved to Moree to lead a team of curriculum and training & development consultants in the northwest of NSW. From there she went to East Timor in 2000 to work with the UN in the rehabilitation of the education system and then to East Java to work on an education project for AusAID. Since returning from Jakarta in 2009 where she was working with UNESCO, Supit has been enrolled in a PhD at the University of Sydney as well as developing learning materials for a new national Indonesian syllabus. Supit has a M.Ed. (University of Sydney) and M.Ed.Admin. (UNSW).
