BiographyHistory

Sally Condon was born on Boolaloo Station and is the daughter of Mick Condon, a Yindjibarndi man and Dulcie Condon, a Yinhawangka woman. During her childhood, Condon went to traditonal cermonies and corroborrees. Condon lived at Gilliamia Hostel while at primary school in Onslow and then went to high school in Perth, finishing year eleven before continuing her education at business college.

Condon's first job was as a receptionist/typist for the Native Welfare Department. Condon has six children from two relationships. While raising her children, Condon has had a variety of jobs from cleaning, to working as a community health worker in Roebourne, and administrator with Department of Employment, Education and Training (DEET) at Karratha. Working as a secretary for the Karijini Aboriginal Corporation, however, enabled Condon to work in her home town for her own people.
