BiographyHistory

Guy Parker is from the Mulga Downs area. Parker's father was a leading stockman at Nanutarra Station in the late 1950s. After his family moved to Onslow in the 1970s his father set up the Noualla Aboriginal Corporation as an Aboriginal Resource Centre. Parker was educated at Onslow Primary and then at Karratha Senior High School where he completed Year 10.

Parker views the Aboriginal law and culture system as essential to the survival of the Indigenous people. In his employment as an Aboriginal Education and Training Officer, Parker has assisted with the development of appropriate programs in Aboriginal Adult Education. Parker is a member of the Karijini Aboriginal Corporation and through this organisation helps to protect his ancestral lands with the hope of establishing a partnership with the Department of Conservation and Land Management (CALM).
