Bingee Lowe was taken from Elliot in the Northern Territory down to Mt Dare by the Lowe family when he was a child. He worked with old lower Southern Aranda men doing stockwork. Bingee Lowe learnt much from Tom Bagot Inyula, Billy Barlow (father of Charlotte Malka), Deaf Jim Tjimpiljaka, Old Dick Kalakala, Old Fred the Rainmaker and had extensive knowledge of the lower Finke area. Living and working around Oodnadatta as a drover during his life, Bingee Lowe experienced a harsh drought in 1975 which forced him and the other stockmen to drove close to two thousand head of cattle to other stations in search of pastures. Lowe belongs to the Tjingili people.
