BiographyHistory

Don Green was born in Hall's Creek in the East Kimberleys. His father was from Pakistan or Afghanistan and his mother was full blood of the Gidja people. Green lived in the bush with his mother until he was eight years old. He worked at several jobs, including stock work on Mabel Downs station for ten years before working for the Public Works Department and clearing land for farmers. Green's wife was Chinese and Aboriginal wife and they had ten children.
