Benjamin Cornford studied history and literature at the University of Sydney before being awarded a scholarship to complete a PhD in Late Roman/Early Medieval Italian history at St John's College, Cambridge. After completing his PhD in medieval Italian history, Ben Cornford moved from the UK to Sydney and began a Masters in Professional Writing a the University of Technology. In 2009 he was living in the eastern suburbs of Sydney and teaching English as a second language.
