BiographyHistory

Prior to arriving in Australia during the 1960s, Margaret Hazzard spent many years 'living mainly' in 'tropical countries'. Hazzard established an 'active literary career' which included her role as the founding chairperson of the Society of Women Writers (Victorian Branch). Having moved to Norfolk Island in 1974, she has also published Punishment Short of Death: A History of the Penal Settlement at Norfolk Island (1984).
