BiographyHistory

Hirschfeld was a German doctor, sexologist and homosexual rights activist. His book Sexual Anomalies and Perversions was banned in Australia in 1946. Hirschfeld is included in AustLit because his work was banned or restricted in Australia by the Federal censor.
