BiographyHistory

Film and television director.

Chris Langman began establishing his credentials as a television director in the early to mid-1980s through series such as Carson's Law (1983), Sons and Daughters, Special Squad (1984-85), The Henderson Kids (1985), Prisoner (1985) and The Zoo Family. He also directed the 1983 telemovie Skin Deep. Between 1985 and 1989 he directed episodes of Neighbours and oversaw the collation and filing of documentary footage for three Kylie Minogue video releases - Kylie: The Kylie Collection (1988), Kylie: The Videos (1988) and Kylie: The Videos 2 (1989). During this period Langman also directed episodes of The Flying Doctors (1986-91), the feature film Run Chrissie Run (1986), and The Fremantle Conspiracy (1988 telemovie).

Langman's series credits since 1990 include Kelly (1991), Bony (1991), Paradise Beach (1993), Blue Heelers (1994-2006), Snowy River: The McGregor saga (1996), Heartbreak High (1997), Water Rats (1998), Chuck Finn (1999), Ponderosa (2001), Stingers (2000-02) and Triple Zero Heroes (2009). In 2008 he also directed the Hollywood feature film Crazy Girls Undercover.
