Teresa Bell, theatre director, actor, teacher and producer, became the first director of the newly created Australian Poetry Foundation in 2007. Bell graduated with a BA from the University of Technology, Sydney. She later gained a Diploma of Acting from the Ensemble Studios and an MA in Directing and a Diploma of Education from the University of Western Sydney.

Bell has been Artistice Director of both Mainstreet Theatre Company and Playworks.
