BiographyHistory

Liza-Mare Syron is a descendent of the Birripi people from Minimbah, near Foster, New South Wales. Minimbah in Birripi language means 'Home of the Teacher.' Her qualifications include a Masters in Adult Education (UTS), Master of Creative Arts Research (UOW), a Diploma in Dramatic Arts (VCA), and a Certificate in Playwriting (NIDA),

She is a graduate of the Victorian College of Arts and has been coordinator of the Theatre Performance and Practice Course at the Eora Centre of Aboriginal Studies in Redfern NSW.
