BiographyHistory

Kevin Magarey grew up in Adelaide. He graduated with a first in English at Oxford University, then taught at the University of Capetown 1955-1958 and for six months at Pius XII University College, Lesotho. Returning to Australia he taught at the University of Adelaide from 1960-1990. He was one of the founding editors of Southern Review.
 His son Joel is a writer.
