    Author note: Margaret Hassan was Irish. She worked tirelessly for those in need in Iraq. This poem was given to her Iraqi husband by then Australian Ambassador to Baghdad, after she was butchered by insurgents.

    Dedication: Dedicated to the memory of Margaret Hassan who gave os much to the people of Iraq.
