AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The column begins with a reference to the film The Killing Fields, the title of which in Spanish appeared as 'Los gritos del silencio' [The screams of silence]. Woggy Girl uses this phrase to reflect on the frustrations of migrants from Latin America who, in their everyday life in Australia, feel they are screaming in silence.
