AustLit

This unit studies writing, illustrating, editing and publishing of writing for young people from birth through adolescence. It includes a study of audience needs and reader response theory, and research into publishing and marketing aspects. Quality writing is explored through literary genres and thematic approaches. Influences on the literature examined include awards, reviews and criticism, and social, cultural and political concerns.
