AustLit

This unit is designed for students who wish to work on substantial creative writing or performance scripts. Students prepare story outlines, submit writing for workshops and assessment, and read a selection of contemporary works in their chosen genres in order to develop an advanced sense of the possibilities of form in current literary practice. The performance component of the unit aims to provide students—through the study of written texts and critical material, seminar presentation and discussion, written projects with the option of a performance piece—with an advanced knowledge of performance practices in a designated topic area.
