'The local footy team of this small coastal town have spent so long at the bottom of the ladder they might as well be welded to it. This year a new hope arrives: the Marngrook cousins are named after the Aboriginal game that inspired AFL, and they’re match fit to bring home the team’s first flag in forever.

'This powerhouse new production manifests the physical and psychological demands that a football team faces under the Friday night lights. Set within the era of Adam Goodes’s war cry – and named for the number he immortalised – 37 asks ten actors to throw themselves into this world of blood and sweat to get at the values that drive a national obsession. Community, identity, the price of winning and the meaning of a goal: they’re all up for grabs.' (Production summary)

'Tasmania, now.

'Boyd’s got enough on his plate between keeping a young family together and his responsibilities to land and people.

'But something’s happening. Every year more and more folk are claiming to be Palawa too. Folk no-one’s heard of until now, who haven’t been ‘round before. Are they legit? Or are they ‘tick-a-box’? Who decides? And how?

'If Boyd’s going to take everyone forward, they’re all going to have to go back, old mob or new, into the island’s knotty past. And they might not like what they find there.'

'Two young ‘uns, Wurangkili and Timita, meet a mysterious alien named River when he gets lost in their country on his flying canoe. With River’s pet Wombat “Wombie” in tow, they all go on a journey to find the meaning of a mysterious object, getting clues from an Eagle, a Lizard and a Kangaroo they meet along the way.

'A Not So Traditional Story is a rare and memorable performance that combines Terrapin’s renowned skill in entertaining and engaging children with the voice of a new generation of Tasmanian Aboriginal performing artists.'

1 6 The Season Nathan Maynard , 2015 single work drama

'The Season is a humorous insight into the inner workings of a family mutton bird shed on Dog Island (part of the Bass Strait Islands) during the six week harvest season of the mutton birds by Aboriginal Tasmanian people.' 'The story follows the highs and lows of the mutton bird season; with no TV reception and basic living conditions there are lots of shenanigans. Every problem is complicated by the island factor, dealing with extreme weather and ‘family’. There are plenty of tears, truths and laughs to be had during a birding season and at the Maynard’s shed it’s no exception.'
