Meg Keneally is the daughter of Thomas Keneally. With many years of experience in media, public relations, and public affairs, she established her own public relations firm in Sydney. She has also worked as a newspaper and radio journalist.

Some of her earlier works were written as Margaret Keneally.

In 2015, she was co-writing a series of crime fiction novels with her father.
