The English captain of a transport ship faces mutiny from his largely German crew when they come across a German vessel of war. The attempted mutiny removes the last doubts he had about the loyalties of his Irish second mate, and the two men go down with the ship when she is destroyed by the German vessel. Their last sight is of a British cruiser opening fire on the German vessel.
