Described in contemporary television guides as
about four Australian soldiers and an air force sergeant who are camped in an Australian outpost in New Guinea during World War II. Tension mounts when one soldier dies and a Japanese attack is feared.

Cameron submitted this, his first TV play, under the name 'John Alexander', in response to a call for local scripts by the ABC. At the time, he was a manager of facilities at the ABC studios in Ripponlea, Melbourne. Once the script was accepted, he revealed his real name and connection to the ABC.
