Film Details - People's Picture Company , 1911

Production Companies:

People's Picture Company.

Release Dates:

June 1911 (in Adelaide and Perth).
A film of this name was shown on 7 April 1911 in Broken Hill by a travelling company of vaudevillians / picture showmen (called Ada Harvey's Pictures and Vaudeville Entertainers), but it uncertain whether it is this same film: the other films shown by the company were not Australian, and it is more likely that their version of The Miner's Daughter was one of the many American films by this name made in the 1910s, most especially because their synopsis does not match the synopsis given in advertisements for the Australian film. (For further details, see 'Amusemens: Ada Harvey's Entertainers', Barrier Miner, 8 April 1911, p.5.)
