BiographyHistory

Austral-American Productions was a short-lived film production company that operated in Australia during the 1940s. Under managing director Hartney J. Arthur, the company made two feature films - A Yank in Australia (1942) and Red Sky at Morning (1944). Austral-American also produced several stage plays, including John Alden's production of Twelfth Night (Theatre Royal, Sydney; 1943) and exhibited films. The company was wound up in 1950.
