Bunjima (Punjima) woman, Caitlin Smith was born in Wickham and grew up in Roebourne on the Pilbara coast of Western Australia. Smith had studied geology at the University of Western Australia, but has always been a creative writer. (Source: Laguna Bay Publishing website)
