The Yugambeh Museum, Language and Heritage Research Centre aims to record and promote the traditional knowledge of their region especially the Yugambeh language, which was spoken throughout south east Queensland. The museum also assists Aboriginal yourth with employment and training opportunities, and helps community members trace their own family stories. The Museum has a commercial arm that offers cultural competency training and consulting services.

Yugambeh Museum is the trading name of the Kombumerri Aboriginal Corporation for Culture, which was established by Elders in 1984.

In 2018, the Yugambeh Museum was awarded the John Oxley Library Community History Award, for its development of an app to encourage the wider public to engage with Aboriginal languages and heritage.
