'Alex widowed at the age of 49, is haunted by the traumatic death of her husband. She had planned to tour around Australia with her husband before his death. Corinne, her best friend, convinces her to fulfil the dream and travel together.

'Their first port of call is Adelaide, visiting an ex of Alex’s called Rex. He holds an elaborate party inviting them both. Alex is sexually assaulted by one of his mates, Stuart. Corinne, on the other hand, enjoys a threesome with two other men. Alex has sex with her old flame Rex, remembering why she had left him in the first place. Boring selfish sex! Alex resorts to never finding love again.

'The two women travel on the Famous Ghan to Alice Springs. They four wheel drive around Uluru, The Olgas and Kings Canyon describing the harsh beauty surrounding them.

'Moving on they explore Darwin’s history and Kakadu wilderness travelling further to rest in El Questro in the Kimberley’s.

'The novel draws an unforgettable picture of the Australian Outback, from the tame to rugged terrane, the majestic waterfalls to the top of Uluru. Iconic landmarks are visited giving descriptive justice to their beauty.
