Steampunk Note: This story is included in an anthology of steampunk fiction. Set in colonial Australia, it focuses on gender roles and ambitions of flight. In this instance, dirigibles are the primary mode of flight, but one of the protagonists has dreams that heavier-than-air flight is possible (thus bringing non-steampunk technology into a steampunk world, rather than vice versa).
