BiographyHistory

Liz Anelli was born in England, and emigrated to Newcastle, New South Wales in 2012. She is a illustrator whose picture books have been nominated for various awards including the Environment Award for Children's Literature, and CBCA Notable Books.

In 2015, Anelli was awarded the May Gibbs Children's Literature Trust Fellowship. When researching for the picture book Desert Lake, she won an Australia Council grant to research Kati Thanda (Lake Eyre).

Anelli has also been an ambassador for Books in Homes and reviewer for Reading Time.
