BiographyHistory

Smile-A-Lot Books is an imprint of Australind Veterinary Hospital. Owned and operated by Dr Rob Hill and Lisa Hill, Australind Veterinary Hospital services the Australind, Eaton and Greater Bunbury area of south-west Western Australia.

In addition to providing traditional veterinary services the practice established itself as a community-based centre for positivity and well-being. After establishing their practice as Happiness Centre in 2011 the Hills created a dog and cat mascot duo called Ben and Crinkle, took them to visit children at libraries and hospitals, and began writing and publishing children’s books as a means spread the positive message beyond the Bunbury Community.

The first smile-A-Lot books were published in 2013.
