BiographyHistory

Wiradjuri - Gadigal man George Fisher was a musician who during the late sixties was a member of a band called 'The Opals' that toured with Jimmy Little as an all-Aboriginal cabaret show throughout New South Wales. It was during the early 1970s that George had joined another band called 'Mr George' as a bass player. This band had released 3 singles and released one LP called "On the Bandwagon" on Philips Records in 1974. After almost 14 years with the band, George left and brought a driving school in west Penrith.
