AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'I'm Not Shaving My Legs For This is a humorous, quirky, and at times neurotic look into the life of Stephanie, a thirty-something who has had more than her fair share of awful bad dates. From the boy who had an intimate outing with himself in the cinema, to the one who used her as a counsellor to win his ex-wife back, Stephanie has been doing it tough in the world of dating. Of course using pickles as a measure of suitability of a mate probably isn't helping her cause, but with her heart on her sleeve she dives into one relationship after another, eternally optimistic. Struggling to make sense of the lessons she was supposed to learn, each day brings her one day closer to the happiness that still seems to be evading her. At times funny and at others sad, at least Stephanie's world is never boring as she battles her way through the two types of men who cling to her like a lifeline: those who want nothing more than one night to remember and those who just want a wife in any form. I'm Not Shaving My Legs For This tells the story of single girls everywhere and the challenges they face on the road to meeting Mr Right, but also the bigger struggle of learning to be happy with who you are in a world where good relationships are hard to come by.'
