Paul Eggert, Nicole Moore and Elizabeth McMahon have been the Chief Investigators for the Colonial Newspapers and Magazines Project. The project has received funding from UNSW and from the Australian Research Council through LIEF grants.

About Professor Paul Eggert:

Paul Eggert is an Australian Research Council Professorial Fellow based at UNSW Canberra. Elected as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities in 1998, he currently chairs AustLit's Board. He was the general editor of the Academy Editions of Australian Literature.

His two projects for the fellowship are:

• a monograph arguing for an English-studies approach to the interdisciplinary area, history of the book

• the Harpur Critical Archive: an electronic archive and scholarly edition of the complete works of colonial poet Charles Harpur (with Elizabeth Webby)
